According to the Water Act Draft, citizens will have to obtain a license before installing a new pump to obtain water. If a citizen uses a motor or tube well without obtaining a license, the connection will be disconnected.
According to the proposed bill, any citizen will be obliged to obtain a license to install a motor to obtain water in the house. The proposal to ban tube wells without license for farmers across Punjab was also included in the Act.
