Former Islamabad minister Asad Omar has said that the finance public should stop thinking about the dollar. Talking to a private TV channel Nasee, he said that the country is moving towards stability, it will take another two years now that the country is out of ICU. He said that the dollar has not been talked about for a long time, which is a sign of stability.

Responding to a question, he said talks about joining the cabinet are ongoing, if they were to work inside the cabinet, they would too. "I have already said that whoever comes will have to make difficult decisions," he said. "The dollar is no longer a good thing and it is a sign of stability," he said.

On the other hand, the dollar appreciated against the rupee in the local open currency market on Saturday.

According to a report by the Forex Association of Pakistan, the dollar was increased by 20 paise against the rupee in the local open currency market on Saturday, making the dollar buy higher from Rs 155.80 and Rs 156.50 and selling price higher at Rs 156.50. However, the value of the euro remained steady at Rs 170.40 and the sale at Rs 172.40, while the British pound remained steady at Rs 191.50 and the sale at Rs 193.50.

According to the Forex Association's weekly report, the Interbank gained $ 13 paise against the rupee in the last one week while the value of the dollar in the local open currency market increased by 20 paise, but the euro and British pound lost 60 paise and 2 paise respectively.
