NAB filed a petition seeking cancellation of Shahbaz Sharif's bail in the Asian and Fair Water case. According to media reports, Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif appointed bail pleas for hearing in the National Assembly for hearing.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will hear October 22 on NAB appeals. NAB has approached the court seeking cancellation of Shahbaz Sharif's bail in a clean water and Asian case. Earlier, the Lahore High Court had granted bail in both Shahbaz Sharif cases. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, had in February decided to challenge the bail decision of the Lahore High Court in Mohammad Asif Housing and Ramadan Sugar Mill case of Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.

According to sources, the NAB's top officials and the legal team have been consulted regarding the High Court decision and the Supreme Court's approach. After receiving a copy of the detailed written decision from the Lahore High Court, the next step will be taken after reviewing it. Additionally, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif is also an opposition leader in the National Assembly. The PML-N has supported Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman's independence march on October 27, while Shahbaz Sharif has refused to say the leadership of the march is suffering from his back. Sources say that Shahbaz Sharif was once again worried about being too tight in the NAB, refusing to be part of an anti-government movement.
